I know that this isn't necessarily a Minecraft client issue, but I don't know where else to post this.
So it starts like this: just today I decided to reinstall Optifine to make use of better textures on a resource pack I am using. After successfully installing it and starting up Minecraft, it worked just fine but I noticed that I no longer had my cape. I know that I donated and I tried to log back into Optifine to check. It didn't let me log in, saying that my password was wrong, but I checked my email history and I do indeed have the receipt for the donation.
I managed to change my password and log in.
Turns out the cape has been moved to another account that starts with an a, containing double n's and ends in several but no more than four numbers, and the cape design has also changed (this in itself is very alarming). I did not authenticate this, nor did I know the account (hence why I do not even remember it), so I moved the cape back to my account. Not that big of a deal, as long as I still have my donation email.
In order to change the design of the cape, I headed to changeCape, which is where the problem really began. Optifine wouldn't let me log in and kept saying that it's unable to get a response from Minecraft. I tried changing my Minecraft password but still, it says it failed. I am now locked out for 20 minutes even though I know for sure I entered the correct password.

I would appreciate the help.
Thanks.
