go to the website then get the version that you want at the left

and then click on windows installer if you are on windows or installer if you are on a other OS
wait then click on the right top button (skip the ad)
take the downloaded file and launch it
then just click on install and wait for it!
when it's good (see forge3) just close it and go to the next step
[b]Finding the .minecraft[/b]
Next we need to find where the Minecraft data folder is on your system.
To do so, follow these instructions based on your OS
Windows[/b]
[/b]To find the Minecraft data folder on Windows, hold down the Windows [/b]key (usually a picture of a flag, and typically between the Control and Alt key, usually to the left of the space bar) and then press the R key[/b] without letting go. A box should pop up, titled Run. In that box, you need to type %appdata%\.minecraft[/b], then click the OK button.
You will then be in the Minecraft directory, if you see a folder called "mods" go in it, otherwise create it
Mac OSX[/b]
- Switch to Finder[/b]
- In the menu bar, click Go[/b], then click "Go to Folder...[/b]" (or Command+shift+G)
- Type ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft[/b][/i]
- Click enter, or click "Go[/b]"

Open a terminal window, and type in: open ~/.minecraft[/i][/b]

well i have my list of website that have mods
https://www.minecraftforum.net (surely)
https://minecraft.curseforge.com (full with mods, well categorised)
and i never go on other sites, becuse theses contains everything

well just open the launcher and a new profile called forge should be created
(see forge4)
if not then go to launch options
then add new then on version, scroll down to 1.12.2-forge1.12.2- XX.XX.X.XXXX then click on it
then save and the new profile is created! just launch it and you will be able to play with mod!

Will I be able to play without mods?
just select another profile then the forge one and it will not load the mods!
