Yesterday I was playing minecraft with two mods (Optifine + Voxelmap) installed through forge. Out of no where my game began crashing on the Mojang logo. I attempted to reinstall Forge and when I tried to "Install Client" I was left with the message, "These libraries failed to download." I reinstalled Minecraft as well as Java and now when I join a small multiplayer server (1) My skin and others' skins do not show (2) The game crashes after a few seconds and I am left with "Java(TM) Platform SE has stopped working." I proceeded to reinstall Java and the issue persisted. I use a GTX 1060 and all of my drivers are up to date according to Geforce Experience. I have absolutely no idea why the game isn't functioning the way it has for years.
Tried to launch the game again and the error persisted. Now it doesn't go past the mojang screen. I am forced to close the launcher with the same Java error message. https://paste.ubuntu.com/26484470/
I do not have any of that software on my computer. The only thing I did was disable the geforce overlay. I can get onto the home screen though the issue still persists. When I create a new world I am stuck on "Loading world Building terrain." Multiplayer also crashes and there are no skins.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Perhaps this is just a very strange bug that will fix itself? The games works smoothly on my laptop with the same minecraft launcher, java version, etc.
I downloaded the older version of the launcher and installed the two mods and now the game works fine. The only issue is that skins still do not load (only Steve & Alex). Any thoughts?
If you are not seeing skins, you definitely have something in the problematic software list. Which would also cause the issues with the newer launcher. Double check the list, and if you still don't find anything, download and run ADWcleaner.

I ran the ADWcleaner and removed some unknown software. The game works perfectly fine now. Thank you very much!
