So I'm currently playing Java Minecraft 1.12 modded, with a grand total of 10 mods, a texture pack, and a shaders pack. I'm playing on an ASUS gaming laptop and am a decently experienced Minecraft player with mods (although shaders is a recent development)
Recently I have noticed a serious degradation of frames per second with my game. I can start up a world fine (well, having about 20 FPS is ok for me) but within 30 seconds I am suddenly down to 3-5 FPS. I have gotten rid of all the mods I can do without (as I am trying to record and do series with these mods) and maxed out all the ingame, Optifine, and individual shader settings I can and it's having basically no effect to my framerates. I don't understand why my framerates are dropping so fast???
I've tested this with vanilla 1.12.2 Minecraft, and it seems to be having a slightly similar issue, but not nearly as fast. I've also noticed that when I start up a world my FPS spike and then drop, but that seems to be about normal. Funny thing is is that I have played on servers with my mods and I don't seem to be having this issue at all, which is really strange?? I've been averaging about 20 FPS on vanilla and it drops to 5-6 with mods over the course of about 30 seconds. I know mods do that as part of their nature, but for my settings and computer, this is ridiculous!
The mods that I have added are-
-The basic 4 mods Forge adds
-CustomNPCs
-MorePlayerModels
-Optifine
-CMD Cam (for recording)
-Xaero's Minimap (which is not even active on most of my worlds, only one do I have any waypoints and it is not visible on my gameplay screen anywhere)
-Radixcore (which is a helper mod for MCA I believe? MCA is not in my mods folder but I forget which mod needs this one to work properly)
These mods all work together fine as big YouTubers use these together all the time, so I know these aren't the problem. I researched this before and found a user with a similar problem, but it was outdated from 2011 and 1.7. From the sound of it, this problem was from a vanilla game.
Please could someone possibly know what is up with my game??? I've done a few tutorials on how to reduce lag and max out FPS even with high number of mods and shaders, but nothing is working...
Thank you for taking the time to read this (hopefully)
