You seem to have the up to date driver but the game isn't recognizing it, so do the following.
Download the file from this page https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/129085 run it to start the installation. When given the choice do a Custom Install. On the next part of the installer check the box that lets you perform a Clean Install. After that let the installer run through its process till it says its complete. Then try the game again.
To do so, press your Windows+R keys, type in %AppData% at the dialog, and press Enter. In the window that appears, open the .minecraft directory, and delete everything except for the saves, and screenshot folders that you see there. Then, try running Minecraft again.
It should only get the Pixel Format error if you have no drivers, old drivers, or broken drivers installed. They seemed to be installed in the first place, and should be for sure after the clean install. It could be a matter of the game not using the correct hardware. Check the info in this link for way to make sure your Nvidia hardware is being used for Minecraft (note that the only 'Minecraft' installed on the system is the launcher not the game itself, and if you need to set a specific program to use the Nvidia hardware you need to set Java as that program.)
Thanks for your time, I added the java.exe and javaw.exe to the list of programs to use the gpu but still getting the error. I think I am going to give up on this machine running mc, it is driving me a little loopy.
Hi All,
I am getting the following error when loading minecraft;
Error: org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated.
Crash Log: https://paste.ubuntu.com/26455056/
DX Log: https://paste.ubuntu.com/26455042/
I have tried updating my graphics drivers to the latest but to no avail
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Yeah if its still giving you the same issue, there may be something wrong with the hardware.
Thanks anyway.
