Every time I break grass rapidly, place, and break blocks, I run into an issue where my fps dips to 30-40 or even 10-15 especially in jungle biomes. I have a GTX 1050 2GB with 8GB of ram and an AMD fx 4300. I have tried allocating 3GB of ram at first and then later I allocated 4GB. I received the same result. I have tried using mods such as Optifine with the same result. I have tried a fresh install and the same thing happened. I have tried reporting this to Mojang bugs however a not so nice mod has changed the status to "resolved" only because of the fact that I attempted to use Optifine as a solution. This affects me when I make buildings, remove grass, break blocks, etc. I have tried using many methods already for years due to how long this problem persisted. I am getting really desperate. Please help. Assistance would be appreciated.
The screenshot suggests that your edited JVM arguments are not being used.
Also make sure that when you try testing it, that Minecraft is the only thing running. Also if you have the Nvidia Geforce Experience app installed. Make sure that the ingame overlay, and any game capture options are turned off.
I uninstalled Razer Synapse to fix the memory allocation problem and it seemed to work thanks to another thread. This however did not change the results. Nvidia Geforce Experience is installed and the latest drivers are up to date according to the program. I turned off Nvidia's in-game overlay as well. The problem has not been fixed. I still have the same issues.
Bump. Update: I checked out the latest snapshot and it comes with the same issue except worse. My fps got lowered dramatically until I turned off smooth lighting. Afterwards I tried the block issue again. It still happened even when I turned down my render distance to 2 and turned fancy to fast graphics.

Post a screenshot with F3 enabled and your JVM arguments.
-Xmx3G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=16M
And the f3 menu

Bump
Well. This is no longer an issue after I factory reset my computer. Putting this to rest for now
Nevermind. Still happens. Bump
