There was a server I wanted to go on, but it is still in version 1.8.8, so I downloaded that version. I then installed optifine (I get terrible FPS without it, even at minimum video settings) but it crashes whenever I try to open it.

Curse PremiumGoogle search seems to revel its Optifine causing the crash. Might have to remove it, or try a lower version.
