so suddenly, without me doing anything wierd, my minecraft wont launch anymore.
apparently it has to do with the drivers, and i found this that would help it solve; http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/pixel-format-not-accelerated/
the problem is, i cannot check my drivers via the given links becouse it says i require the lates version of java wich is rediculas.
i downloaded it, also updated my driver, and then restarted my pc, and still nothing works. not minecraft, not the site, nothing.
i am out of options so i ask the community for help.
@webrosc
I mean when i load the site for nvidia to varify my version and whatnot, it says it needs java wich i have.
and if you meant loading of MC, it crashes. it's the "pixel format accelerated" error that wont let me load my game.
@Dweller_Benthos
here is my report starting from the pixel error:
And hit the download button next to automatic driver updates, if it still doesn't work, use the manual search, select Geforce 10 series, then select GeForce GTX 1070, then Windows 10 64 bit, select your language and leave it at all drivers and hit the start search button. The top result should be the 390.65 drivers from January 8th, click on that and on the next page, hit the "agree and download" button and the driver should download. When it's done, run it to install.
This is a laptop, correct? Be sure your primary display device is set to the Nvidia card and not some onboard graphics chip that may also be in the system.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
after a lot of trial and error i meneged to update my drivers.
first of all, i did have java. just don't know why is didn't work on that site.
secondly, the update gave my pc a blue screen...
after a day of backing up, i tried it once more. my pc sort of crashed, but it returned to normal after a few seconds and completed the update.
phew, glad that is over with.
thanks for your help.

ModeratorWhat is the exact error or issue you get? Wont load means little.
You have a Nvidia 1070, you shouldn't be getting the pixel format error, post the latest crash report you're getting.

i might add, it is modded, but it also happens with vanilla MC, wich only gives this:
https://paste.ubuntu.com/26378005/
Go here:
https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
And download and install the windows offline 64 bit version. You may not have Java installed on the system, just the built in version for Minecraft.
Then go here:
https://www.geforce.com/drivers
And hit the download button next to automatic driver updates, if it still doesn't work, use the manual search, select Geforce 10 series, then select GeForce GTX 1070, then Windows 10 64 bit, select your language and leave it at all drivers and hit the start search button. ps: it's a pc with 2 monitors
Glad it's working, strange, I've never had a Geforce driver install blue screen, they are usually pretty stable.
