So I have a mac that I play Minecraft on, I've been playing on it since around 1.5.2 with no problems and relatively good fps and general performance. Earlier today I tried to play on 1.0 but it was completely unplayable, it kept freezing and lagging, my controls would suddenly stop working for a few seconds, there would be about 1-5 seconds of input lag and it was 100% unplayable, I tried turning all of the settings down to the minimums but it didn't change anything, then I tried turning it all the way up and everything was still running like complete garbage. I changed the version to 1.7.2 and everything was running fine, no problems, smooth framerate, overall good performance. Can someone tell me what's going on? If anyone has any idea why this is happening or how to fix it some help would be very appreciated.
(P.S.) also when I open the F3 overlay it tells me that I'm running at 60-90 fps when it's really running at around 0.5-2
(P.P.S.) Forgot to mention that I'm running no mods, 100% vanilla.
