After getting Minecraft reinstalled on my new gaming computer with windows 10, I wasn't able to create or join any worlds in 1.7.10.
When I was on modded (i.e. AT Launcher, Technic, FTB/Twitch Launcher) then it would just take me back to the title screen.
On vanilla it would crash my game when I tried to create a world, giving me this crash report:

Delete the options.txt or change your render distance
I do live support at:

This worked with vanilla, but it didn't help with modded 1.7.10.
if your modded instance has a seperate directory, delete options.txt there too or install optifine.

it's to note that in a hevily modded enviroment optifine causes a lot of problems
Even after doing what you said above it still doesn't work
Nvm, I got it working, it was just on of the mods which didn't work.
