I've been encountering a glitch when I play in full-screen mode, where if I alt-tab out of the game, and then tab back in, the screen will freeze. The game will bring me to the escape menu, as it should, however it will not actually display it, instead freezing in whatever state the game was in when I tabbed out. The mouse cursor will be visible and usable, and if I click where a button on the escape menu would be, it will behave normally. Additionally, if I exit the escape menu, I will be able to play the game blind, and it will function normally in all aspects except for the graphics.
Anyone have a fix? Would be greatly appreciated.
For reference, I am playing on Windows 10, and running version 1.12.2 of MC.
i suppose that's about all that can be done for now. on that note, is there anyway to at least make the window larger? its really rather pretty small and i cant figure out how to make it bigger. ive searched through the graphical settings and i tried just simply dragging the edges but i cant really find a way to enlarge the window, as dumb as that may sound.
Edit: Nevermind, i found the solution. If anyone reads this in the future, if you cant maximize the window its because you started the game full screened. You need to close minecraft whilst windowed, and then reopen it. it should then be maximizable.
Double click on the window's top bar to maximize the window. You can also manually click and drag the edges. Also in the settings in the launcher, you can set the window resolution.

Bump, I have the exact same problem, been googling endlessly and have found no solution.
Don't play full screen. Problem solved.
If it is a bug in the game, then literally nothing will fix it save to a patch to the game.
