I have been trying to play older versions of minecraft and recently have tried to play 1.2.5 because thats when i originally started playing and i wanted to recreate some memories. But for some reason i get a crash report before the game gets to the start menu, this is what comes up on the game:

Im really confused as to why this happens, because im able to play older versions than this with no issues, its just versions like this and i think 1.3 that i get issues with. Can someone please tell me what's going on and how i can fix this?
Also i looked through my logs and crash reports and there's nothing from this so the only report i have is what the game gave me.

EDIT: I have tried to play newer versions to see if i get the same result, so far i have not been able to open 1.3, 1.4 or 1.5 but can open 1.6
I now get a new crash report, which is almost the same from each version (this is the one from 1.4.2 - 1.5.1 says the same thing)

Im confused as to why the report says the client is very likely to be modded, i have no mobs enabled and i am not using any forge versions of these updates can someone please let me know why i cant play anything between from 1.2 to 1.5 but can play versions before and after it

Use separate game directories for old versions.
