I have recently began playing minecraft again and I remembered the grey goo mod - one of my favorites. I found that the last version it was created for was 1.4.6. So I downloaded the forge and tried to install it but they completely changed the way the .minecraft folder is set up. After that, I figured it would be best to use the older launcher, and when I did, I found that the .minecraft folder was altered on that, too. I found a jar file under the version folder, and did the usual process to install forge. When I started the launcher, it looked to me like it auto updated everything, removing my modifications. At this point, I've tried everything I could, and its starting to feel like it's impossible. If anyone knows how to mod minecraft 1.4.6 or lower, PLEASE tell me.
