New User/Install. Windows 10, Ver 1709, OS Build 16299.125. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I updated Java. I checked the known incompatible programs list, and don't see anything I have. I have been able to select items on the blank black screen, and even click and drag shadows of what should be there, but I don't see anything but the black. I have run a DxDiag.
Update: I right-clicked on the shortcut, selected preferences, and then the compatibility tab. I selected Compatibility Mode for Windows 8 and saved it. I was able to launch. Mind you, I had to do the same thing for Twitch when I tried to run a mod. Otherwise I had the same issue.
