Im currently using forge 1.8.9 with optifine and i have 8gb of memory/RAM.i've tried allocating every number below 8gb memo into minecraft but it still keeps getting lag spikes whenever i play on hypixel or on singleplayer.its rly annoying and i've tried every youtube tutorial to fix it but to no avail.can someone please help me?i would be really happy if someone could help me fix this annoying problem :).
ive had this problem before, a few things you can try - if you havent yet, is;
1. try removing some mods and see if it helps, sometimes computers cant allow for tons of mods to be used, ive had the same issue youre experiencing and removing a few mods helped me out.
2. edit your settings,
-turn your render distance down, even if it has to be at small,
-put the max frame rate up to unlimited,
-turn down particles settings and
-keep graphics at fast
- turning off smooth lighting.and even turning off majority of the options under 'details'
3. remember that you should never allocate more than half of the ram you have on your computer to minecraft, if you only have 8gb all together, you can use 4gb but if you use programs other than minecraft, id suggest only using 2-3gbs
Hope this helps!
