The Problem: I've used Hamachi before, we've been able to get my friend on the LAN world. It's been a few months since we last tried though so I'm not sure what to do. I go online in a network i run in hamachi, copy the IPv4 address, launch minecraft, vanilla singleplayer world, open to LAN, send friend IPv4:port. It recognizes him, I see his character but he disconnects after 5 seconds max. He gets a connection timed out (before it was 'connection was forcibly closed by remote host') and the log on my end says

and it repeats from there. Invalid framebuffer? I've never seen that before.
Things I've Tried:
making hamachi network home network (it worked once a long time ago)
putting application exceptions for log me in hamachi and minecraft in both windows firewall and avast
changing inbound and outbound rules for hamachi and minecraft checking both private and public
pinging my friend in hamachi works. my computer science nerd friend had a look and was stumped because everything seems to be the way it should. I figure it's either on my friend's end or it's something really really technical.

working on windows 7 btw, avast firewall
that's a GL error, has nothing to do with Hamachi. probably a bad driver on the computer trying to connect
