Whenever I try to start the minecraft launcher, i get an error saying "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application." I have tried reinstalling Minecraft and the launcher, but the same thing still happens. I also tried running a repair from the Minecraft installer.
My operating system is Windows 10. I am running the program as an administrator.

To download the other ones you need to make a folder in the versions folder for minecraft and put the client and JSON file for the versions in there. They all need to be named the same aside from file extensions. Once you do that, you will be able to choose that version when making a new profile with the minecraft launcher.

My driver update did not work, and when I tried to install Reimage Plus (the page told me to), it crashed during the install, saying that I should check my internet or change my firewall to allow ReimagePlus.exe. My internet is fine, but I do not know how to change firewall settings.

Apparently, these are oft caused by unsigned dll files. Or bad Nvidia drivers. I would update your graphics card drivers 1st.
If that doesn't work, here is a guide on fixing dll load errors.
