Hello I downloaded Forge and a compatible mod. Forge installed correctly but a more folder did not appear. So I created a mods folder in .minecraft and put the mod in it. However when playing using the Force profile, the mod is not there. The mod is a winzip file. What should be done to make it work?
I recently unzipped the folder into a jar file. I thought that you can add a mod to an existing world. I was planning to add it to a world that I was already spent a lot of time working on. I already played using the forge profile. Is there something I should do to make the mod work in the existing world?
Adding a mod to an existing world is fine. It depends on what the mod adds to the world. If the mod adds new world generation (like new plants, new ores, new animals, etc.), then you'll have to go explore and find new chunks you have discovered yet to find the new stuff the mod adds.
If the mod is not showing in the mods list on the game screen, then double check a few things:
1. The mod is in the proper mods folder for that Profile.
2. The mod version matches the Forge/MC version.
3. The mod is in the proper file format that Forge recognizes. Most mods use the .jar file format.

Curse PremiumMost mods are in a .jar file format. Double check the mod's installation instructions.
BTW: when you install Forge, make a world first using just Forge, no mods. Forge will then make the mods folder to put the mods in.
