Launching the game through steam, for me at least, is causing the game to absolute destroy it's mouse movement. This is only an issue with Minecraft as far as I know, however it could be an issue with steam. Launching the game outside of steam makes the mouse movement work as intended.
This video here demonstrates what is happening to me when I open the steam overlay.
Any fixes, other than not using steam overlay, people know of? I'd like to be able to access the overlay while in-game without having to make my game suffer as a result.
I am willing to give further information upon request.
I've found a fix for when it is doing this in general, if you're using a razer mouse. It is in the spoiler.
disable the surface calibration in the synapse software.
This happens with both an unmodified and optifine version of the game. I put it into modded client support as it is related to Steam, which is an external program. If I put it into the wrong sub-forum, sorry mods!
Discord is open while this issue is active, however I do not use the overlay.
EDIT: This only started happening since yesterday.
I really hope no-one took that title literally.

Sometimes you just need a little less hat.
