I've been playing minecraft for many years now, and i haven't really cared too much about the FPS. I have a desktop pc that runs minecraft very well BUT The framerate won't go above 60 Even though i put VSync off, and have the maximum framerate put to about 120. Any tips for what could possibly be a problem?
INFO: i run Ubuntu 17.10 (don't think that may be a problem). I have minecraft resolution set to 1280×720. 4GB to minecraft. I use Labymod (don't know what Labymod is? Search it up: Labymod).
PS: I used to use Optifine but it slowed down the game, does anybody know what to do? (BTW Optifine didn't help the FPS)

Try setting the FPS to unlimited? The FPS limit lowers your FPS even if it doesn't reach the cap.
Sometimes you just need a little less hat.
