Hello I am installing a mod as a jar file. However I heard that in order to open the jar file on windows, I would need to install Minecraft forge. I did that. It gave instructions to move the mod into the Mods folder in the minecraft. I tried searching in the already installed but did not find the mods folder. Am I supposed to look in a minecraft forge folder and if so, where on the computer would it be installed on the pc. Right now I can only find it by looking in the downloads in Microsoft edge.
The mods folder will be in the .minecraft folder. If forge has been installed correctly it should be there. If it's not been added by forge you could just make the folder yourself and put the mod in it the run the forge instance

I did not find the mods folder in the .Minecraft folder. How do I tell if I installed forge correctly. I made three downloads. Also after I downloaded forge when opening Minecraft and entering my username, it just continues loading and the mojang game server doesn't open. It must be a bug related to the forge installation.
