I am posting this here so that it may get noticed by more people. I have no idea why, but any version of Forge I have tried (1.12, 1.10.2, 1.11.2, 1.11, etc) has crashed even when I load it with no mods. Here is a log file from 1.10.2 - it may not be useful as I cannot see any information pertaining to the issue.
