MC Version: 1.12.2
Pack: Direwolf20's 1.12.2 Pack
Recently, I have had a significant loss of frames/sec every 10-15 minutes.
The client never crashes nor does it freeze. There is only the intense frame drop.
I can't seem to find any cause for the frame, graphics card and processor are all cooled efficiently and there aren't any memory leaks.
The only clue I seem to be able to find is in the debug screen.
Near the top, there is a pC and a pU count, pC stays at 0 constantly and pU only increases as I move around, and go back to 0 as I stop.
When the frame loss occurs, both of these variables rapidly increase for the duration of the frame loss, the duration of which is about 2-3 minutes.
As the frames boost back up to ~100, these values reset to 0 immediately.
According to the wiki, pC are pending chunks to be batched and pU are pending uploads to my video card.
I can only guess is that the client is being stopped from communicating with the video card for a short period of time.
If anyone can help, I would very much appreciate it.
Edit: There's another thing I just now noticed after posting this.
aB, the available amount of buffers used in the patching process, hits 0 for the duration of the frame loss.
What are your PC Specs? Also logs would be useful as they could possibly indicate to what's going on.
