Hi. I'm new here so I'm not sure where I should post this. The problem I'm having is my minecraft lags. It's not unplayably bad but it's pretty bad. I was wondering if you guys had any ideas how to fix this. I have 8G of ram and I've told Minecraft to use 4. Would increasing that to 6 help? My processor is an AMD 6 core 3.50. Feel free to ask me anything that might help you help me. Thanks for your time.
If your playing vanilla and 4 GB of ram ain't cutting it, you may have to mess around in settings or get something like optifine.
Allocating more ram may help but it depends on the problem. Are you using any mods or plugins?

Am I playing with any mods? *Laughs manically* *clears throat* Yes. I have 90-100 of them. So increasing ram might help. I'll try that. Also I have found Optifine. I shall install it. Thank you for the suggestion.
Increased Ram to 6. Installed Optifine. Went into setting and turned everything down I could think of. Still lagging. Driving me crazy. What's crazy is the amount of lag did not change. It seems to lag the same amount regardless of if I'm set to super graphics are crappy graphics.
But in all seriousness, That's probably the problem. Once I start playing with that many it becomes unbelievably laggy.
Really I don't know what to tell you but that you may need to take some out, mods are fun, but Minecraft is unoptimized and the code isn't made to run the smoothest.
