Anytime I try to open an adventure map the above error occurs. After I see this message it eventually goes to the Play Multiplayer screen and scans for a local network. The adventure maps I am downloading all say they are not multiplayer maps and are to be played solo or in the least they can be played solo. Is there a setting I can change? Something I can do differently? fix? Is there something in Java that needs to be modified?
Thanks.
I am running 1.12.2 and I have tried running maps in 1.12.1. Windows and Java (8 build 151) are up-to-date.

Hi,
I just had this problem. The game is rejecting the resources.zip used in the maps. Instead, install the pack as its own independent resource pack:
- Go to the map folder and make a new folder in it called "Map Resource Pack" or something
- resources.zip is there in the map folder, so put resources.zip in your new folder
- Unzip the file inside your folder
- Drag the new resource pack folder into "resourcepacks" and install it as a Resource Pack
- Delete saves/AdventureMap/resources.zip if it still exists
