hey, so booted up minecraft for the first time in about half a year, and I seem to be having some trouble with the click controls within the inventory. for some reason I can't use my left-click anymore? and before yall say it, i already tried turning off touchscreen mode (it wasn't even on to begin with), and i also rebooted minecraft. somebody in a different forum (ive been trying to fix and research this for over an hour) mentioned hitting the right SHIFT, which I tried, but that also did nothing.
right clicking still works i think, i can pick things up that way very inefficiently because of course it halves everything and then you have to keep putting things back into a stack one by one with the right click. it's just, very inefficient and i'm pretty frustrated rn.
is this part of a new update? and if it is, is the only way to get the original controls back to revert to an older version? please help yall ;-;
using a 2011 Macbook Pro, OS X El Capitan, Minecraft 1.12.2
No change here in 1.12.2 (on a PC using a mouse), Left Click picks up a whole stack, Right Click picks up half.
Are you using a mouse or a touch pad thingy?
Does Left Click outside the inventory work for attacking, mining etc?
There doesn't seem to be a setting in options to change how the inventory works, changing the attack to something other than Left Click doesn't affect the inventory.
Right Shift on it's own doesn't do anything but holding either Shift button down and clicking either Left Click or Right Click moves the whole stack between the inventory and hotbar or chest/furnace/hopper/etc.
I am using a trackpad, as I have no actual mouse to use. left click works for attacking and mining etc :/ thankfully it isn't an update, so that means it's some sort of problem on my end. any idea how to fix this?
sigh, I removed and reinstalled minecraft and the problem is still there. thanks for your suggestions, regardless. if anybody else can think of a solution, I'm up for anything.

Just testing.
