The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: Initializing game
I keep getting this message whever I open up my forge. My java is up to date and my forge is up to date. I am using minecraft 1.12.2 and never had a problem until now. Whenever I open my minecraft and click play for forge it loads then I get that message on the top. I would really appreciate if you guys could help me! It does not allow me to view the crash report either so I do not know what to do.
My understanding is that there was a launcher update for Windows (2.0.1003) that fixes this issue, but this update isn't available for Linux users yet so they have to wait until Mojang releases a fix.

This seems to be a launcher bug, see https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-8361
But how do I fix it? That just shows me people posting about a different issue kinda ;-;
