Usually I let win 10 keep the drivers updated. The last driver date was in 2012 and may be the last one intel made for the chip. If I need a newer one I will keep looking.
It works fine with win 10 64 but it is a bit old. Given how basic minecraft is I didn't think it would have a problem with it. It can run a flight simulator under DX9 at about 70FPS so minecraft shouldn't be problem. If it requires the latest shaders that could be a problem. If that is the case it is a bad design of minecraft. Such a basic program should be able to run on a wide range of PCs. If it can run on an xbox 360 this laptop should not be a problem.
What is the specific requirement that it does not meet?
