I already had Minecraft installed, it just stopped working. It ran just fine before. The computer is updated all the way to windows 10.
You didn't state what version of MC your using. Older versions might run fine, but newer versions (1.8+) might have trouble on older hardware. Yes, the MC version does make a difference.
If you updated to Win 10, you probably didn't check if the PC your using was Win 10 compliant (like Mr Grim said).

It's not working for any versions, not even older. I downloaded something to run in the background that notifies me if it has an update available but it says there are no problems and everything is working just fine. Does it have to do with Opengl?
