I just switched over to the PC version of Minecraft. Originally I played the Xbox version since 2012. I am using a pre-built office computer that I got years ago, that is not the best, although it runs Minecraft perfectly fine, with atleast a solid 100 frames on decently high video settings. I made a survival world and for some reason whenever I place and break blocks it causes my fps to drop. The second the block gets placed or destroyed, my fps drops and it causes a very short lag spike. (by that I mean my entire screen freezes for a brief moment the second the block is placed or destroyed) I also have 3 gigs of ram applied to minecraft. I don't know what causes this. As I said the games runs usually at about 120 fps, with drops down to like 90 while walking around. But when placing and breaking blocks my screen freezes for a sec. If anyone has any idea on what causes this or how to fix it, please let me know. I hear there is a mod called optifine that helps with fps, but as I said it's only when placing/breaking blocks, and I really don't want to download any mods, I just want to play pure vanilla. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this post.
Edit: it actually seems to only be certain blocks. i am placing and breaking wood, and it runs fine. but when placing and breaking torches the game has a small freeze

Post a screenshot with F3 enabled and your JVM arguments.
I'm not sure what JVM arguments are, but I did take a screenshot with f3.
JVM arguments you used to change the RAM allocation.
