I did what I could to basically move minecraft from my C: drive to my D: drive. It doesn't seem to be cooperating. I install minecraft to my D:\Games\Minecraft folder but it seems to install into my C: drive as well.
How do I make it stop doing that? It seems like it only downloads Assets and the launcher stuff there.
I moved the launcher files over to the D:\ drive and installed forge there too. I opened the launcher notepad files and changed anything that had C:\ on it to where it belongs in the D:\ drive. Then launched it again, still not forge profile.
I deleted the .jnon file and I'm going to see if that works after I redownload the minecraft profile.
If anyone just "knows" how to put everything on my D:\ drive then please walk me through it step by step. I'll simply uninstall MC and install it again using your steps.
Any help is appreciated. No mods as of current but I plan on getting the Mo'Creatures mod.
Thank you so much. I googled this and that never came up, trust me, I've looked through several websites and tried several things.... That never popped up.
I appreciate you help and I'm attempting to use your advice right now. So I should be able to use forge after this? Do I need to do anything special to use forge? ex. Change what folder it searches in? Or should it automatically find it?
Forge still will not show up for me in the profiles. I install it to D:\Games\Minecraft\.minecraft , where it finds the minecraft launcher profiles, but it doesn't show up when I launch the shortcut of minecraft launcher. I did add the --workdir or whatever to the end of the shortcut too.
FYI, I can't put forge into my c: drive because it takes up too much space when I put the mods in.
