I just wanted to put this here because I know there was a previous fix in the archive thing. But it didn't work for me so I decided to post a thing here that fixed it for me.
So usually when I unplug my headphones and replug them back in the minecraft sound stops working and I have to restart minecraft, which is honestly a pain in the butt when you have a laptop that takes 15 minutes to close and open minecraft. A previous thread said that if I did F3 and S it would fix the problem, but this didn't work for me and many others. Well I figured hey, maybe reloading the resource pack will reload the sound and fix my problem. Yes, it does after not responding for a minute or two. I find it faster than restarting minecraft, so I thought posting it here would help.
No Sound Alternate Fix
- Press F3 & T at the same time.
- Mac users and Laptop users will need to press Fn & F3 & T
