A few days ago I was just casually playing some skywars on hypixel when my game crashed. The window just went black and I had to close it. When I opened minecraft again, the resolution was bad. The edges of the normal screen were cut out, (e.g. normally there is some text at the bottom left corner of the screen like "minecraft bla bla bla", but now it's "necraft bla bla bla") and the cursor arrow didn't match the selection point. "GUI scale auto" fixes the cursor, but the edges of the screen still get cut off. I'm playing on 1.8 with the replay mod, but this issue affects all the minecraft versions. I really need some help for this because I'm a youtuber and I'd never want to post a video with bad resolution like this (plus, it would affect my gameplay), so please do any of you have any ideas? (Also, I think the latest java update might've caused this issue.)
I've tried moving options.txt away from the .minecraft folder but that didn't solve the issue. I've also downloaded the driver from the link you posted. Once the driver is downloaded, do I move it into a certain folder in .minecraft or something?

no, you have to run it. it should be an exe or a zip with a exe
Okay, I've tried installing it, but I kept getting an error message saying that the device driver didn't apply to my laptop.
