I recently wanted to go back to the earlier days of Minecraft, in its Alpha version 1.2.6 to be exact, and I encountered this problem:
I can't seem to break any blocks. I can play the latest releases of Minecraft with no problems whatsoever, but for some reason I can't break any blocks. I can move about and explore, but not do anything more than that.
Yes, I know that I have to break blocks by holding down the left mouse button. Yes, I have tried it, both the right and left mouse buttons. Punching animations, but no sounds suggesting that I'm breaking the block. Deleted the worlds several times, loading up new ones, still can't do anything.
Have played the newest Minecraft verion 1.12, 1.11 etc... No problems. Everything works fine. Blocks break as usual when punching them.
If anyone has experienced this problem before, please let me know if you encountered this problem, and if you did, leave advice on what you did to eventually fix it.
System specs:
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
- Intel i5-4670k Quad-Core Processor
- 12 GB RAM
- MSI B85M-E45 Motherboard
- 2x 1TB Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive
Running Java version: SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_121-b13)
EDIT: Tried playing Beta too, same issue. Can't break any blocks, and as I recall, in SP there should not be any problems with so called "spawn protection"
EDIT 2: I know people are reading this, and no one's got any solutions? Like, at all? Come on!
EDIT 3: Have tried a clean install, wiped the whole .minecraft folder. Issue still remains. Added the system specs and Java version, hoping at least someone knows how to resolve this issue.
