Within the last year or so I've noticed times where the game would have moments where I would be building a platform on a skyblock server and it would be slightly choppy for a split second, granted this doesn't have much a difference on gameplay but lately it's gotten worse as you can see in the video I provided.
I contacted an admin on the server I normally play on to help and see if there was a fix but he said "I tried it myself, and i only found a slight drop in FPS. My best guess would either be that there's too many entities in your screen, or the lighting updates. I don't believe there's a way I can fix this but I'll keep a look out if there's a possibly solution." I'm not sure what's causing this and I don't know if it's a client side issue or server side. Any help would be appreciated. Only mod I have installed is Optifine, I am using a laptop specs are as follows: https://gyazo.com/dac0467b54f5fa3cc3ea9492fe477187 graphics card is geforce GT 750M, for some reason this doesn't show up in device manager, not sure if this could be the issue.
I was able to get the GPU to finally show up in device manager after I updated my Bios. I set Minecraft to run off "High-performance NVIDIA processor" in the nvidia control panel, though I didn't see java as an option. I do see a difference with the fps being higher but the lag still persists.
Edit - Seems my laptop still doesn't want to run using the nvidia graphics card. It's now not showing up in device manager, had this issue a few months ago so I will contact dell support.
