So, for a week or two now, I have been getting really bad framerates despite having some beefy components. I used to get 1000 fps+ but suddenly I'm fluctuating between 80-200.
I have an i7 7700k and a GTX 1070. 16 GB of ram.
I found some post saying that they had some similar problem and maybe it was related to new NVIDIA drivers. I tried downgrading but I still have low FPS.

In NVIDIA control panel, under manage 3D settings, in the global settings, is the power management mode set to max performance? How about in program settings, with java selected, is power management mode set to max performance? Could you also do a alt-shift-f3 in minecraft and take a ss then?

I reinstalled my drivers last night again and now i'm getting 280+ FPS pretty consistently. Seems a lot better but still seems low compared to what I used to get. Maybe that's normal now though?
Yes, everything is set to "prefer maximum performance" and power settings are also on "high performance"
Edit: Seems like whenever I load a profile with Optifine is when I get LOWER FPS. Like 80+. Why could this be?

I'm running a dual monitor set-up.
Attached an F3 Screenshot.
Any feedback is appreciated!

Does your fps change when you change texture packs?
Disable GeForce experience overlay
It is disabled. Still getting Just like 70+ FPS now. Don't know why it's so insanely low. No other games have issues.
