This might be a bug with Minecraft or it might just be my graphics but water looks purple. At first it was a normal blue color but then it glitched out and the whole ocean turned purple. In my menu it looks completely normal however.
I'm running in 1.12 on a windows 10 with a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming laptop and a Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7300HQ CPU @ 2.0GHz 2.50 GHz.
I don't know why you'd need to know all that but you might.
This is some sort of weird graphical problem with my computer. I went to open up a page full of picture of ocean pictures, and at first they were all purple, but then they turned blue. Now my oceans are normal. I have no idea what could be causing this other than a crappy graphics card. Recently I had a graphical problem related to this where my screen would turn into rows of multi-colored lines whenever my computer went to sleep. The problem was fixed when I updated my computer.

I don't see a difference in water color on your screenshots.
