I've followed all the steps exactly as listed but when I click the notepad code that we made it flashes open and closes right away. I read in other places that with the new minecraft launcher (I haven't played in a very long time) this old method of syncing with Google Drive no longer works.
Can anybody verify any of the information that I have? And if these are true, can someone help me with another way to use Google Drive to sync my worlds?
to the end of the notepad file on a new line, this should keep the windows open waiting for input so you can read and post the error it shows

I went ahead and did what you advised and it gave me this:
C:\Users\(myname)\Google Drive\MC Cloud Sync>drive\minecraft.exe
'drive\minecraft.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I'm assuming I probably saved or typed something wrong but I'm really a bum at computers so I'm not quite sure haha. Any clue what I need to do?

Edit: I started playing around with the notepad and I realized if i substitute minecraft.exe with minecraftlauncher.exe it launches but it takes files from the harddrive. Is this because I saved the minecraftlauncher.exe instead of minecraft.exe?

I understand that I did put minecraftlauncher.exe and not minecraft.exe, but I wasn't sure if that would cause an issue (that's probably it huh)
