Hello all. I recently downloaded the Super Hostile map Canopy Carnage V1.2 From Vechs and loaded it successfully in 1.12 after being upgraded from Beta 1.7.3. After a couple of minutes the games starts to load chunks at an extremely low rate and is skipping ticks. My minecraft is saying that more than 50% of the processing power is getting allocated to ticks and essentially the rest is allocated to the renderer. I am running on a 2016 Mac Pro running in MacOSx with a 3.0GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5 processor and 32GB of RAM. My minecraft is has also 8GB of allocated memory so that shouldn't be the issue. I don't know if the following image helps. If the full log is required, i will update it tomorrow. Help would be gladly welcomed...
having a mac really doesn't help, but if you have other programs open (especially browsers with youtube, even paused) try closing those and see what happens
It didn't really help but thanks anyway. The map can run perfectly fine with minecraft up to 1.7.10 but further than that and the world has massive chunk loading issues. I think it's just the worldgen in 1.8 that just screws up the world.
