So, I am having serious issues with minecraft. Before I start, my CPU has an Nvidia GTX 960M with 1GB dedicated VRAM, 16GB DDR3 ram, and a I7 6700 2.6GHZ processor.
Unmodded issues:
The game in fullscreen 1920x1080 runs at 10-15 fps for some reason, if its windowed 1920x1080 it will run at 450 FPS. It also will stutter periodically, I do not know why.
Modded:
Using LB photo realism, I pull around 300 FPS but there is a severe stutter problem. 300 FPS consistently with stutter issues, I do not know why.
When using LB photo realism and SUES shaders, it locks at 24-26 FPS. the weird thing is I can set EVERYTHING to max, or everything to min and the FPS will not change. Some of the more intensive processes will actually bump the FPS up from 24-26 to 28-30, no idea why. The only thing that tanks the FPS is the render quality, if I set it from 1.0 to 1.5 or 2.0 it will cut the FPS in half.
Fixes I have tried:
-It IS running with my graphics card both for the game and for the shaders (as far as I know for the shaders anyway)
-I have set XMX1G to XMX2,4,6,8,10, and 12G
-I have set XMN128M to 1,2,4,6,8,10G as well, seemed to eliminate the stutter from vanilla when setting from 128M to 1G
-java is updated
-drivers are updated
-GeForce experience is updated
-chipsets, network cards, etc are updated
-game and mods are all updated for 1.12
- tweaked every setting in the game, in combination with other settings, only thing that really changed anything was render quality in the shader
-clean install EVERYTHING, minecraft, java, etc.
-disabled (and enabled) VSYNC both in game and via driver settings, no change
I do not know why it will not run fullscreen at all, and I do not know why adjusting the shaders will not increase or decrease FPS at all, not even negligible amounts such as 1-2 FPS.
Anyone Have any ideas?
