So i've been playing Minecraft on my mac for 4 years now. I updated to OSX Sierra and now when I play Minecraft, every time I talk on chat, the backslash, and "c" keys don't work and the "A" one just highlights and ends up deleting it. Also every time I press "b" the narrator activates. Its really annoying and I found out it could be averted by pressing command every so often. But it's still annoying and the narrator is even more so. I run on 1.12.1 with Java 8.
To download the other ones you need to make a folder in the versions folder for minecraft and put the client and JSON file for the versions in there. They all need to be named the same aside from file extensions. Once you do that, you will be able to choose that version when making a new profile with the minecraft launcher.
I do not have Comcast or GeForce on. And as I said, i do know you can fix it by pressing command but it gets annoying after a while and messes me up when doing typing

sounds like your command key is stuck or the computer thinks it is, try pushing it a few times next time you are in game
Sound like Comcast Constant Guard or GeForce Experience but there is a chance that I am wrong.
check to see if you have those.
