Hello their beautiful people of the Minecraft forums. I recently restarted my computer.. Not my best idea indeed. I downloaded Minecraft back from the page (via minecraft.net) and thought everything was great until.. yeah. the updater for the launcher is completely unresponsive. After hours upon hours of googling my situation, I find myself at a standstill. I have tried older versions but i need java 1.6.10 or something to get it and java doesn't work for both Chrome and Mobzilla Firefox because of some cookie browser issue. I have also turned my firewall off temporarily to try and download Minecraft but it still gave me the message after it blinked a couple of times on 0.00 / 38.97 MB. And this is where this left me. I do have my own theory of why this is happening and it comes with what i have read from several websites: Something about java just is out of my case. I do not have any java file installed and i have checked through control panel. If i do need java for this updater, if anyone who is reading this could just be amazing and leave a link and some details that would make my day <3. That's about it. If you got to this part I respect you for even thinking about helping another one of your fellow beings.
