So about a week ago (August 25th), at about 11am EST, the Authentication Servers went down. Once they came back up, I tried connecting, and it said that the Authentication Servers were still down for Maintenance. I checked and everything was up and running perfectly. Every single day, this past week, every time I try joining a server, on any version of Minecraft (not just 1.7.10) it says the Authentication Servers are down for Maintenance. Here is what I have done so far to try and fix the issue:
Restart router and computer at same time
Delete Minecraft and all its files, and redownload it
Log out, and log back in again
Shut down computer for hours, and load it back up again
Once again, AUTHENTICATION SERVERS ARE NOT ACTUALLY DOWN, THIS IS A PERSONAL ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE PAST WEEK. Please don't tell me, "Wait for Authentication Servers to come back up" because they have been up for about a week now. If anyone can help me or give me new methods to try and fix the issue, PLEASE HELP. Keep in mind I have a Mac, so all the methods would have to work with a Mac.
Try this: 1. Go to the java website, where you can download the latest version.
2. Now here is the tricky part:[/b] if you use a 64-bit Windows version (which is pretty common nowadays), do not use the auto-detect version download - because it will automatically download the 32-bit version and it won't work.
3. Download and install the appropriate version for your system and try to log in on Minecraft.

Thank you but I use Mac OSX like the tag says in the title. Could I be doing something similar as to what you said but with Mac rather than Windows?
EDIT: I downloaded the latest version of Java and it still did not work. It still says Authentication are down for maintenance...
EDIT: Oh I see now. Nah this is my account that I've owned since 2012. I've never gotten or bought an account from that website so I don't know how it could be affecting me.
