I am experiencing issues as I attempt to install Minecraft again (I used to have it installed but it has since been uninstalled). Whenever I attempt to launch 'MinecraftLauncher.exe' in my Program Files (x86) folder after installation, I receive an error:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\game\libcef.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000007b."
After clicking the "Ok" option on the window I receive another message:
"Unable to start the Minecraft Runtime Environment. This is most likely caused by a corruption. Please try to reinstall Minecraft."
I began my troubleshooting by uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft, but to no avail. I was still receiving these two error messages. Then, I looked up the error status in the first error (0xc000007b) and found that some solutions recommend installing the latest DirectX version and one recommended installing the latest drivers for the GPU in your system (I have a 1050 Ti). Upon attempting to update my DirectX version, the installer told me that I already had the latest version installed. I installed the latest driver for my GPU, but it didn't seem to do anything. I am unsure of how to pursue this issue further.
Though I did attempt to use the repair function previously, I just clicked repair on the Setup Wizard and, upon my attempt to open Minecraft, was met with a runtime download/install/setup window. It's hard to believe that there were corruptions/errors downloading with runtime 2-3 times in a row previous to this, but your assistance managed to fix my problem!
