A few weeks ago, running Minecraft on my Nvidia GPU stopped working properly. Formerly, I was able to run it maxed out on Optifine with Extreme shaders on a 12 render distance and get ~75fps; now, a completely reinstalled vanilla Minecraft gets no more than 25 fps, regardless of settings.

I have tried everything:

I have updated my graphics drivers;

I have restarted my computer;

I have ensured that Nvidia control panel is messing with neither Minecraft's launcher executable nor it's javaw executable;

I have lowered all of my graphics settings to no avail (also no change depending on whether V-Sync and VBOs are on);

I have closed all unnecessary background applications;

I have even disabled my antivirus.

And yet somehow, I still get the attached result.

Running it on integrated graphics works fine, but is an unacceptable solution, since part of the reason I purchased this computer was legitimately to play Minecraft maxed out in every way possible (aside from render distance).

Thus, I have, for the very first time, come to an online forum seeking assistance, as I am at a total loss for what to do.

I believe my screenshots contain all necessary information about my system, but I am willing to provide more upon request.

Also, the FPS range seems to return to normal when I disable fullscreen, as I have 700-1060 fps on minimum settings
