Attempting to launch the game in 1.7.10 to play a specific mod. I tried even tried just playing with the vanilla version of 1.7.10
Upon creating a new world, it would go straight from building terrain to "Shutting down internal servers" and then crash and give me this message
"It looks like you are using an unsupported modified version of the game." followed by this message
The game crashed whilst unexpected error
The game crashed whilst unexpected error
Error: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException
I tried installing the latest java in 64 bit and non 64 bit. I even tried different forge mod downloads. I just continue getting the same message and crashes. I would really appreciate some help...
The crash-reports folder is under the instance folder under the .minecraft folder.
The full report is required to verify the problem. If there are no numbers after the phrase "Error:java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException", then it is the render distance.
The render distance between the older versions (1.7.10 and lower) and the newer versions (1.8+) is different. Keeping the same settings could result in the crash you received.

Curse Premium1. Always post the FULL crash report
2. Error: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException
- Lower the Render Distance
3. Make different Profiles for each version of MC your playing to avoid this in the future.
"We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far."
1. When I clicked for the full crash report, nothing showed up. It would allow me to click the button/text, but it didn't bring anything up
2. I launched the game with all the same settings with the most recent version of MC and it worked just fine
3. I have 3 different profiles currently. One which is the latest version. One which is 1.7.10, and the last one is the forge version of 1.7.10
So....
