complete noob at this stuff, how would i go about fixing this so i can use both modded and unmodded version to work
a few things
1. all crash logs are inside the crash logs folder in your .minecraft folder
2. you can simply copy and paste your MC folder into a new one, you must have the deepest folder be labeled .minecraft so you'd have to do something like ...folder name/1.7.10/.minecraft and folder name/1.7.10 modded/.minecraft

You need to create seperate game directories to properly be able to switch between versions.
i can switch over to pretty much any version without a problem it seems, its only 1.7.10 ( i can load 1.8, 1.9 and so on just fine)
Believe me, changing MC versions without separate game directories has also impacts on newer versions, you just haven't noticed it.
