I have been able to play minecraft for the past years on the laptop i have been using. For the past three weeks my framerate has been dropping to 0 randomly mainly when I switch lobbies in game. Does anyone know any ideas to why this would be happening?

My Graphic Card been acting strange as well. Here is what I am suspecting may be happening.
As pre built hardware ages (whether if you slapped a cheap Graphic Card like my is or just running onboard in your laptop). The cooling efficiency drops and it difficult if impossible to maintain (laptops are notorious for this).
While I am expecting new parts to build a fresh PC (SSD to boost).
If you insist on a laptop I would buy the most affordable on board graphics you can get your hands on with a standard HDD and replace with it with a 7mm SSD in yourself. To spare the premiums that "gaming" laptops go for.
