Ever since the off-hand slot was added, I have been using it to hold torches while I mine. I play with Shaders and using this method I can have a mobile light source while I mine. However, as of 1.12, the game will no longer allow me to place torches in this slot. What gives? Is there any way to get this functionality back ( a toggle button hidden in the options menu maybe?) or am I stuck with only being able to put shields in this slot?
