I've been having some issues whenever I use my Forge 1.7.10 client (I do not have any mods installed yet by the way). I am not able to connect to any servers whatsoever, when I try, it pops up with the error message "java.lang.NullPointerException: group". Also another issue, (though it doesn't matter to me too much) whenever I try to play on a single-player world, my game crashes. I have been researching many ways to fix this problem such as: using email instead of username when logging in to my account, disabling my anti-virus (Avast!), uninstalling my anti-virus (Avast!), uninstalling McAfee, flushing my DNS cache, allowing Minecraft through FireWall, uninstalling Minecraft, uninstalling Java, updating Java, and many more ways which have not helped me at all. I am about to give up, can someone help me?
NOTE: I have a 64 bit system and 64 bit Java installed (version 1.8.0_131)
